Number of beneficiaries involved: 407
The problem that brought them to UPSHIFT: lack of a safe place for communication and psychological relief for young people
The solution found at UPSHIFT: the team created a teenage space in the shelter of their lyceum and a program of educational and entertainment events to improve the mental health of schoolchildren. The meetings were diverse: master classes and meetings with representatives of local organizations, drawing with coffee, modeling with plasticine, creating collages on paper, film screenings, board game days. The events were held regularly, which allowed the participants of the events to find new hobbies in a short time.
Using the skills acquired at the bootcamp, the team was able to establish cooperation with the humanitarian organization “Save the Children”. Together, they held events aimed at supporting the mental state of teenagers and creating a comfortable environment for communication. They also involved craftsmen from the local House of Creativity, students for conducting master classes, and representatives of the cast of the Mykolaiv Academic Drama Theater. The project continues to actively develop, reaching an ever-growing audience and creating new ideas.
