The problem that brought them to UPSHIFT: after the de-occupation, the city's youth were excluded from social processes and needed support

The solution found at UPSHIFT: during the bootcamp, a team of friends developed a concept for a youth space — material and event content.

Events in the space are aimed at providing socio-emotional support for local youth, children, and anyone who needs it, for their psychological relief and socialization. Art therapy events in ethnic style are held here (pysanka, bead weaving, silyany, candle making, etc.) and movie nights.

The team established cooperation with local authorities — the upshifters were allocated a communal room and provided with the necessary materials for cosmetic repairs. The participants themselves renovated the room, decorated the walls, and purchased the necessary furniture and materials for the events.
The upshifters, together with local youth, registered the NGO “Active Youth of Snihurivshchyna”. The organization's team actively cooperates with the Department of Culture, Youth and Sports, participates in the "Voice of Communities" project, and is working on creating a youth council in the community.

In the future, the team plans to work on attracting grants and developing the space so that it can become a full-fledged youth center in the future.
